Pictures day is Tuesday, October 3rd.

If you are interested in being on the Science Olympiad team come to the meeting Monday, Sept 25 in room 228 from 3:15-4pm.  This looks great on a college application!

HOSA t-shirt orders due Sept 27.  Prices are $15 for a short sleeve and $18 for a long sleeve. 

Ever wanted to help fight childhood cancer?  Here’s your chance?  You can purchase “Go for the Gold”  t-shirts from Mrs. Hartley or just simply donate whatever you like.  All proceeds go to Open Hands Overflowing Hearts.  We will wear our gold shirts at the game on Sept. 29th in honor of those who fought and are currently fighting childhood cancer. Please bring your $10 to the front office and place your order by this Friday. You can also bring loose change they have laying around in their car or home.  We  have a huge jar, in the main office, that we need to fill with CHANGE FOR CANCER.   COME ON HUEYTOWN GOPHERS....LET'S SHOW THE OTHER SCHOOLS WE ARE THE BEST AT THIS FIGHT FOR CANCER.

Anyone interested in joining Spanish Club can pick up an application outside Sr. Ladd’s room (rm 251).  Deadline for submission is el dos de octubre.  ¡Olé!

Girls soccer tryouts will be held Friday, Oct 6th.  You must come by rm 228 to get a form and have a current physical to tryout.

Current National Honor Society members, there will be a MANDATORY meeting for all members on Thursday morning, Sept 21, at 7:15 AM in Mr. Houston's room (rm 144).

The deadline to register for the ACT is Friday, September 22nd.  Go to www.actstudent.org to register.  Se your counselor if you need assistance.  Do not wait until the last minute.  Students who receive free or reduced lunch may be eligible for a fee waiver.  See your counselor for one.

Any junior or senior who would like information regarding employment with Mercedes Benz after high school, please see Mr. Scott.

If you are interested in participating in the fall basketball league, stop by Coach Wilson’s class (room 265) to sign up.  You do not have to be part of the basketball team to participate.

Join us Thursday morning at 7:30 for First Priority!  First Priority is a time for student-led bible study and worship.  We hope you will join us in the lecture hall.

Seniors last day to pay the Senior Activity Fee is Friday, Sept. 29.  The fee is $80 and includes two t-shirts and the Senior Banquet.  Please stop by the table after 3rd to give your t-shirt size.

Seniors-Sept 30 is the deadline to get your senior portraits and casuals done with Belmont.  They have very limited space left.  To schedule your pictures, please call Belmont at 205-403-4020.

 

    If you are taking the ACT this Saturday, be in the cafeteria by 8:00 am with a current and valid photo ID, your Admission ticket with photo printed out on it, pencils, a calculator, and snacks (if needed). If you do not have a current and valid photo ID, see your counselor ASAP for help. Do not wait until the last minute and make sure you come prepared
